WHAT PAGE SHOULD I START WITH?
Your About Page is the most read page on your website, so that’s a great place to start. My template walks you through how to speak to your ideal client on this page and let them know who you help and how you help them, your experience and background, why you care, and what step they should take next.
A great page combo to get you started is About/Home/Services. This will introduce your ideal client to you and your business and give them the opportunity to work with you.
Some of my clients chose to go with only a Sales Page. This is a great option if you have one service/course/product you’re offering and you’re ready to put all your resources into selling that one amazing thing. You can publish this as a landing page instead of a full website, or even just as a Google Doc.
Think about how your ideal clients find you, how you love to market to them, what you’re selling and how you’re selling it. Then pick an option that works best for your business. Don’t get stuck in indecision. The only right answer here is the one you choose. Make a decision and make it work. Give yourself permission to start small and grow into having all the pages.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A SALES PAGE OR A SERVICES PAGE?
If you are selling more than one service/course/product, you probably need a Services Page. This page is like a menu of options with brief descriptions that help your ideal client choose the best option on how to move forward with you. I suggest constraining yourself to three offers on this page if possible so your ideal client doesn’t get overwhelmed (like you are right now trying to choose what page to buy here).
Each of your offers on your Services Page should get it’s own Sales Page. If you’re only selling one offer, you can skip the Services Page and just have a Sales Page. This is a lengthy page where you’ll take your ideal client through an emotional and psychological journey that helps them decide to buy now (or apply now, or book a consult call).
Some of my clients sell many things, but they don’t list them all on their Services Page. We leverage Email Funnels and other opportunities to sell those additional offers. HOW IS COPYKAZAM DIFFERENT THAN HIRING A REGULAR COPYWRITER?
A regular ol’ fancy copywriter takes your IDEAS and writes up something for you from scratch. With CopyKazam, you write your own first DRAFT from my magical template and then I give you expert feedback and edits to help you transform it into a more compelling, higher converting, all around better version.
What I often see happen with my clients who hire a traditional copywriter, is they don’t understand the strategy within the copy so they’re unable to make edits as their business grows and changes. They often don’t completely love the copy that’s delivered and, again, don’t feel empowered to make tiny tweaks. Plus, they’ve made this HUGE investment and wait years before they feel comfortable admitting it needs a makeover. With CopyKazam, you’ll know just from the templates what’s happening throughout your page and why. Most of my clients love this process, but some really struggle to get out their first draft. Instead of referring you to a full-service, regular copywriter, I give you the option to upgrade to Co-Write Live with me. We jump on a Zoom call, open a shared Google Doc, go through the template together and I write as you talk. I’ve priced this so you’ll still be paying less than hiring a traditional copywriter, and you’ll be so involved in the creation process you’ll definitely love your copy and have the knowledge to make tweaks as needed. I suggest taking a stab at writing your first draft with my template (they’re seriously magical!) and upgrading if you get stuck.
HOW MUCH EDITING WILL YOU DO ON MY DRAFT?
I’ll be making suggestions, rewriting sentences or even sometimes whole sections, deleting content that doesn’t belong on that page (and telling you where it does belong), making sure your structure and sales strategy is solid for the page, and helping you use your voice so it all sounds and feels like you. I’ll include a comment on each edit so you understand my thought process each step of the way.
I shoot for 70%-90% finalized when I deliver your edits and explain what you’ll need to tweak for your final version.
WHAT IF MY FIRST DRAFT IS SERIOUSLY SHITTY?
Shoot for B- work on your Draft. My favorite shitty first drafts to work with are the ones where my clients really go for it- inevitably their voice/personality comes out and I can find the pieces I need to solidify the structure within their words somewhere.
The drafts I don’t love as much are the ones that are quickly thrown together without much thought, expecting me to do all of the work. Those usually speak in very general terms and it’s difficult for me to create something that deeply connects with the ideal client.
Shitty first drafts are where the magic begins. Embrace it. I’ve got your back!
I DON’T WANT TO SWEAR OR JOKE AROUND IN MY COPY. IS THAT OKAY?
Yep! A big part of what makes your copy convert into sales is your unique brand voice. Corporate, formal voice doesn’t convert as well (and it’s boring af to edit too). The more your copy sounds like a one on one conversation between you and your bestie, the more your ideal client is going to want to buy.
There’s no one right voice no matter what your industry. I have a client that coaches parents with young kids that’s a huge swear bear. I have another client that’s got a soft, gentle introverted voice who’s biggest competitor is a loud extrovert.
In the questionnaire you’ll fill out for me after you buy your page, I’ll ask you questions to help me get familiar with your voice and make decisions on things like swearing and joking ahead of time. I often make notes on your edit about where you can rewrite a sentence or change one word to make it sound more like you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T LOVE MY COPYKAZAM VERSION? DO I GET REVISIONS?
Nope, but you’ll have everything you need to make revisions yourself including the detailed template with examples and all my edits, comments and suggestions. I shoot for giving you an Edit that’s 70%-90% finalized with comments on what to do to get it to 100%. Expect to make some final revisions. You’ll see some things written in a way that you wouldn’t say it and I definitely encourage you to put it into your own voice. I’ll make sure the structure and strategy are solid for you and give you all the info you need to tweak your copy until you love it.
I HAVE A DRAFT ALREADY WRITTEN. DO I STILL HAVE TO USE YOUR TEMPLATE?
ONCE I BUY, HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WRITE MY FIRST DRAFT?
After you purchase your page, you’ll get instructions to request a Start Date. That’s the day when you’ll submit your Draft and I’ll get started on your edits. My first available date is usually about 2 weeks out. Give yourself plenty of time to work on your draft- Sales Pages are especially a looooot of writing. Set a deadline and challenge yourself to stick to it.
If you miss your start date, I’ll ask you to finish your Draft before requesting a new start date. Anticipate another 2 weeks out from your new request.
You will get your Edit back from me within 10 days of your Start Date.
DO I NEED TO USE GOOGLE DOCS?
I prefer to receive your Draft as a Google Doc but I’ll also accept a Word Doc. I’ll be making all of your edits in Google Docs either way. I’ll make my edits as “suggestions” for you to approve or dismiss and include notes on why I made each one plus any comments or ideas I also want to include. Most of my clients save a copy of this edit so they can refer back to my notes whenever they want.
I FOUND YOU THROUGH ANOTHER PRO. WILL THEY BE HELPING TO EDIT MY COPY TOO?
Nope! They’re leaving this part to me. Business Coaches love sending me their clients to implement all the strategy they’ve been working on with you. Designers love sending me their clients because it makes their job a lot easier when you’ve got great copy to work with that’s broken down into clear sections with lots of texture. Once you purchase your page, you’ll get exact instructions on how to send me everything I need to make sure you get copy that will compliment the work you’re doing with anyone else.

I got so many requests for this I created an offer all about naming your business that includes taglines and choosing a domain. 90% of the time I suggest using your own name as your business name so you can easily grow and change. But if you’re ready for a branded business name, my template gives you all the instructions on what makes a great name and how to brainstorm to find it. I swoop in at the end and give you plenty of feedback with a few great options of names to choose from. The brainstorming process takes a good amount of legwork- which is why professional naming services run anywhere from $15K-$50K! I suggest taking a stab at writing with the Template first. But some of my clients are great on video and writing just isn’t their thing. Others get stuck overthinking or in overwhelm. That’s when you should consider upgrading and knocking out your page live with me.
You’ll get a link to book a session on my calendar. Depending on the length of your page, you may need to book multiple sessions- this is definitely true for Sales Pages (they’re long af).
We’ll jump on a Zoom call together and I’ll share my screen where I’ll be writing your page in a shared Google Doc following along with my Template. Each single session is about 2-3 hours- expect to be mentally drained afterward. I’ll be asking you questions as we write and putting your brain to work. You’ll answer in a conversational way, and I’ll take your ideas and turn them into magical sentences that convert into sales.
